The goal of the St. Stephen Music ministry is for our church to be a musically rejoicing community. We hope that through our hearts, our lips and our hands joined in music, your hearts will be moved and the praise of God will be joyously lifted up.”
Participating in one of our ensembles is also a fellowship opportunity at St. Stephen. If you are longing for a place to meet and get to know people who enjoy music, we welcome you!
St. Stephen Choir Adults and teens are all welcome to join the choir meeting Thursdays at 6:45 and singing for most 9:00 services. The foundation of the community chorus, the Choir performs in seasonal concerts. Repertoire includes beloved classics, serious sacred music, gospel, world and contemporary anthems. (no audition)
Worship Team Leading the contemporary service (11:15), this quick study and versatile ensemble prepares music from many sources including the contemporary Christian genre and world music (by audition).
Handbell Choir The handbell choir rehearses weekly playing frequently in services, concerts and community events. This is a wonderful opportunity to make music! (Emily Boleyn, director)
Youth Worship Team A part of our youth program meets each Sunday night at 5:45pm leading youth worship and occasionally leading 11:15am worship.
Chautauqua Community Chorus Formed as an outreach of St. Stephen, CCC is open to all in the community regardless of faith or background. With St. Stephen Choir as a foundation, this chorus performs extended choral works twice a year. |
